Hello Bubonic Boardgamers
The kickstarter fulfilment may have successfully completed - but we are still hard at work and thanks to your support - things are going really well! Our big news is that a container full of board games to sell at retail just arrived at the warehouse - ready to begin the second phase of the infection! (retail copies are the same as the standard Kickstarter copy except for the KS exclusive Patient Zero pack).
Our focus is to fulfil preorders and get the game on shop shelves ASAP :)

Pre-order Backers:
We are charging your cards this week and confirming your address - so check your emails. The majority of games should arrive in the next 2-3 weeks.

This week - we are starting the second wave of Kickstarter shipments for backers who didn't give us their address initially. (around 60 people). We are also solving a few shipping issues that people have reported. Delivery update and FAQ below but first...
Retail dates
Now that the majority of you have received your games - things are beginning to calm down and I can focus more on retail preparations. I'm expecting to sell the game at Amazon mid February. The games are on boats currently so hoping for smooth sailing. We are also getting a lot of interest from distributors and stores worldwide so watch this space.
When the game does come out - your support in infecting your friends will be vital to how it does!

Delivery FAQs
Where is my 5th player expansion? The Patient Zero pack and 5th Player expansion (if applicable) ship inside the game box. The game box will always say 1-4 players as this reflects the core game - but don't worry - the 5th player expansion will be in there :)
There is an issue with my game? Our big box of spare parts has just arrived from Panda. If you encounter a problem - just email us at [email protected] with photos and we will get it sorted for you.
I preordered a retail copy - when does it arrive? The delivery updates only apply to Kickstarter backers and people who made a late pledge. People who have pre-ordered a retail copy will get theirs as planned in Feb 2017 (you haven't been billed yet either)

Pre Xmas Update (and Seal of Excellence awarded)

Hello Fevered Fungi (help - I'm running out of alliterations - give suggestions below!)
By the end of the week - the first wave of shipping will be complete worldwide (although it may still take 1-2 weeks for your copy to actually arrive) and the focus will be to keep dealing with any shipping issues / spare part issues that come in. (these are annoying but expected when dealing with thousands and thousands of games!). We will also start getting ready for launching the game at retail (but more on that another time)
I hope that you infect as many people as possible over Christmas. Remember you can get the Companion App at www.plagueinc.com/companionapp to help people learn how to play, check FAQs, track scores and more.
BTW - the game is continuing to get great reviews and the game was awarded a seal of excellence by board gaming site The Dice Tower! (video link). Rumours that I infected the reviewer with a Neurax Worm are completely untrue!
US Backers: If you have not received your copy by 2nd January - get in touch at [email protected] so we can investigate.
Canadian Backers: I just spoke with the warehouse (in Toronto) directly. The games will start to be posted tomorrow and there is a chance that people in Toronto will get them on Friday but not certain. Most backers should receive them next week. I'm really sorry about the delays here - very frustrating for me and even more so for you - I've done everything I can to chase things and will continue to get to the bottom of what caused the delays.
Backers from everywhere else: If you have not received your copy by 3rd January - get in touch at [email protected] so we can investigate.
Once your game is shipped - it will take 3-15 days to get to you, depending on the postal service and how far away you live.

Greetings Viral Victims!
Less than a thousand board games left to send out to backers and so far - we have an amazing 8/10 rating on BGG which I'm really proud of. Separately, the companion app is out now for iOS and Google Play - overview of it below as well as the latest delivery update.
Companion App
The companion app was a stretch goal from the campaign and is designed to help people quickly set up and play the board game as well as offering a digital rule book, statistics, FAQs, rule variants, a score tracker, ambiance generator and more!
The score tracker wasn't part of the original campaign, but I found that when playtesting the single player mode - it was really useful to have something to help score the PlagueBot - so we added it in! It is also designed in such a way that we can add in popular house rules that players come up with in the future.
US Backers: The warehouse is shipping a few final games that had issues. Keep an eye out as you might receive your game any time from now!
Canadian Backers: The games have arrived at the warehouse and should start shipping on the 15th. (we encountered delays going through customs - had to happen somewhere I guess :S )

Microscope on Single Player mode

Hello Bacterial Backers
We have shipped almost five thousand copies of Plague Inc: The Board Game so far and got another few thousand to go - the infection is almost complete! In the mean time, below is a quick look at the solo 'PlagueBot' mode as well as a delivery update.
Surrender to the PlagueBot
Plague Inc: The Board Game is primarily a multiplayer game but it also comes with a free single player mode and if you think you are a strategic genius - you should try it out! This was our most requested feature by backers and as people start to receive their games - I'm having a lot of fun seeing players getting crushed by the all mighty PlagueBot (your artificial opponent) :P
I designed the PlagueBot mode to be very challenging and in order to beat it, you will need to use your pathogen to strategically exploit every opportunity that arises - whilst preventing the PlagueBot from gaining too much ground. If you are a sadomasochist - there is also a brutal difficulty you can use for PlagueBot in the rulebook (I've only won a few times on Brutal so be warned)
I've just uploaded a How to Play Single Player video covering the set up and rules as well as playing a few turns. (for the normal rules - head here)

Spare/ replacement parts:
So far, we have had 5 backers let us know that there was an issue with some of the components in their order. It is to be expected that a very small fraction of games will have a manufacturing issue but don't worry - we have a big box of spare parts for just this eventuality. If you encounter a problem - just email us at [email protected] with photos and we will get it sorted for you.
Delivery Update:
It feels great to know that over half of backers have already got their games but main focus is on getting the rest of the games out. Current status below but this could still change.
US Backers: The warehouse is shipping a few final games that had issues. If you haven't received a tracking number yet - please email [email protected] and we will investigate. Keep an eye out as you might receive your game any time from now!
Canadian Backers: The games are due to arrive at the warehouse on Monday 12th and should start shipping on the 15th . (we encountered delays going through customs - had to happen somewhere I guess :S )
Backers from everywhere else: The games are in the process of shipping from the warehouse in the UK. They are hoping to have all of the games shipped by the 12th of December. Keep an eye out as you might receive your game any time from now!
